Jean-Luc Blanc’s paintings and drawings invite you to dive into the profusion of images. He constitutes a “traumatic encyclopaedia” made up of images from books, magazines, postcards… Abandoned images that he compiles and manipulates in order to reinject them into his drawings and paintings. The body, and more particularly the faces, hold his attention. Within a work that is both ghostly and cinematographic: the images look at us.
